5.4. Fixture Position

 
 
 
Fixture Position
There are several ways to adjust the position of the selected fixture:
Set the mouse mode to fixture position mode (crosshair cursor mode). The fixture can be adjusted in position by dragging the mouse in two axes along the grid that is temporarily displayed in the 3D view.
 
TIPS > Shift key + drag moves horizontally, and Ctrl key + drag moves vertically.
 
 
TIPS > If there is any change from the default value, the C button will be displayed in red.
 
Fixture Direction
In L8, use the Direction parameter to adjust the shooting direction of the fixture. There are several ways to adjust the Direction of the selected fixture:
 
Fixture Rotation
There are several ways to adjust the rotation of the selected fixture:
Set the mouse mode to fixture position mode. Fixtures can be rotated with the mouse scroll wheel along the grid that is temporarily displayed in the 3D view.
 
NOTE > If you rotate by this method, the value will be entered directly into Xtra.
 
 
TIPS > If there is any change from the default value, the C button will be displayed in red.
 
Click the xtra button to export the Rotation parameter to the location matrix to the right of the section and clear the Rotation value. Xtra is matrix data including Position, Rotation, Size and all values.
 
2D view
The 2D view can be switched by pressing the "2D" button at the top left of the 3D view screen.
 
2D views allow you to set up a completely different plane layout than 3D views. Each fixture is represented by a graphical icon.
 
 
When the mouse cursor is over a number, left and right clicks have the same operation as left and right arrow clicks. You can change the numerical value continuously by dragging the mouse while clicking.
