I am having some difficulty drawing in LC. I find it very problematic to place a truss, add lights onto it, and then angle that truss AND the lights, because the truss and the lights cannot be grouped together. I also find it difficult that I cannot rotate several lights as a group, each light rotates individually. So it seems it is not possible to rotate a group of light to an angle. Or is there a workaround for this?

Here is an example:

I have a circle truss. I leave it at a flat angle and then add the lights. Now I want to rotate the truss and the lights together, but I cannot find a way to do this. It seems that I have to rotate the truss, and then rotate each individual light to get it in the right place. Working like this is very confusing, it is difficult to tell when the light is in the correct place on the truss. It takes a long time. Once I get that accomplished, it would be easiest for the second circle if I could just duplicate the truss and the lights and re-rotate to the opposite angle, but this is not possible. I have to copy the truss and re-rotate it. But then if I copy the lights I cannot rotate them as a group to the matching angle. I have to individually adjust each light to be in the correct place, which takes even more time.

I would be a lot happier if I could group a truss and the lights on it, rotate it to the correct angle, or adjust it's position, and then un-group it. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks,
Seth

has this feature been implemented yet?
how does this feature work?
i have a lot of chairs to place. all rows with different angles.
at the moment i export a complete row and import it after.
but as there are rows with different nummbers of chairs this feature seems so be the better way.

1. Select first chair, add selection to other.
2. Hold Alt key, you will temporary activate Object Positioning function. Place mouse pointer in first object bounding.
3. Rotate (with one center) all objects by the mouse wheel.
Have Fun!
