The lasers, pyro etc. are simulated like a furniture object with patched to DMX emissive components of it material. Some examples are present in the Furniture section, see Animated. But you can't play them without Unlimited dongle.

To make your own laser in LC you will need a .avi video of it recordered on the black background with source in the middle. Than just put it on a special 3D-model of laser, make right dimensions of beam and enjoy!

Thanks for the explanation about lasers. But DMX lasers have several shapes and parameters controlable by DMX. So I would have to capture a .avi video for each possibility of the laser in order to have an accurate simulation?

I have noticed that, in the download section of your website, for each release of LC, there is a summary of new fixtures, models, filters, ... But where can I find what is new in the software code (bug correction, new features, ...)?

The lasers, pyro etc. are simulated like a furniture object. To see correct shape of your laser you need to patch on it video-in from visualizer of your laser control software. If you use simple DMX controlled laser, you can see only approximately picture of possible recordered to video shapes.

The list of new features is available only when we release new version of software update. If you see in download section distributive 240, update 240, like now - the list of changes is not present.
