Forum rules

1. Note that one of the unique features of L8 is that you can build new fixture profiles (or tune existing ones) using the Fixture Constructor section of the software. We highly recommend learning and using this feature as it enables higher understanding of the properties of each fixture and what the fixture can virtually replicate within the software. In the Fixture Constructor there are large libraries of realistic 3D fixture bodies and gobos that you can use in your building process. Please see the User Manual for how to get started.

2. If you prefer not using the above method, you can post your request here by using the following guidelines.
• The request name (Topic Title) should be the actual name of the fixture instead of "Fixture Request" in order to allow other users to quickly find it.
• Each request should be provided with link to the fixture manual (along with all photometric and physical details) from the MANUFACTURER's WEBSITE !
• If there are no gobo pictures in the fixture manual, please contact the manufacturer (or photo them yourself) and post the information.
• Fixtures Profiles are updated automatically via Internet, please press UPDATE button (located top right in Main Screen) if flashing red.
• You can check if your fixture request has been completed and will automatically update by visiting the "Completed Fixtures" sub-forum located in this forum.
• You agree to fully test the completed fixture to allow us to add it to our library.
• We will not add low quality "no-name" Chinese fixtures to our library. However, you can build them yourself for your own use.

Hello,
Robe pointe frost is not visualizing correctly. In addition to beam profile turning into a "wash" it should also zoom fixture wide. It's currently softening but becoming more narrow with each frost.
Is it possible to have these lines in frost also add zoom in different amounts. If it's possible, how can I edit future fixtures with this kind of logic.

Thanks!

Hello David.

Please record a video of the live fixture with different functions as frost, prism, zoom, gobo, focus and send this video to us

Hi,
I don't have access to the real fixture at the moment.
I will send when I can.
Is there a way I can edit and save a user profile with this change to help serve my client now?
Thanks!

At the moment it is not possible to change the frost function, the user can only select the different types of lenses.
