Guys, as I told you before, for pixel-mappings you have to use video textured furniture objects. There is no any problem here, they can count up to billion faces. If you want to access them per DMX channel - this will be done on media server level, which video signal you put to LC.

The info about 512 fixtures for software in About/SOFTWARE LIGHTCONVERSE section on site: http://lightconverse.net/lc/lc_about-lc.htm

512 real lighting fixtures is enough for common shows, if you are working on largest shows, please think more broadly.

Thanks.

About Server-Studio power have a look at this video: http://youtu.be/b8NFC4laJk8

Forgot to mention that since v51 is possible to divide fixture on different DMX controlled parts. So, each fixture can work as 96 channels screen.
http://youtu.be/qeg-4UA2MkE

Also universe count is extended to 96pcs.
With this possibility you can fill all 96 DMX-512 universes with only 512 fixtures (512*96=96*512) if doing LED-mapping.
No problem.

Hey All,

I see this is an old series of posts but have only today realised the issue raised and would agree that advertising LC as supporting 32 universes but only providing functionality for 512 fixtures could be considered misleading as this fact is not stated clearly when purchasing the product.

The software looks great & provides great results but limiting it like this is only shooting yourself in the foot as users become frustrated with the lack of functionality that was advertised when investing in the software.

regards

It has different product levels, purchase the model that you need, it's simple.

Yes it is simple, when provided with the complete range of facts.
Don't get me wrong your software is great but giving potential
customers the impression that buying a licence of LC will provide a 32 universe pre viz system and then moving the posts by not making it at all clear that a limited amount of devices are supported is misleading and amounts to predatory corporate behaviour. kind of like a credit card company.

Sorry, I don't understand, where did you find that LIGHTCONVERSE is limited on less than 32 DMX universes?
It is 96 universes guarantee now, no problem.
