Hello!

First thanks for a perfect program!

Now to the problem i have a Sony Vaio FZ31M with Windows Vista and i am running Lightconverse 303. Yesterday I installed AVG Free antivirus and did a virus scan and found some trojan och cookies that the program removed.

Now when i´m trying to open LC first a warning comes up that this i a W32/Heur trojan and it wants to remove LC.exe this i IGNORE. But then it comes up a ERROR that says "We could´t get to the specified unit, seekway or file. Maybe you dont have permission to open the file.

What could have caused this problem and why, is something missing?
I did try to remove then install the program all over again but it didn´t work. I still have the same error message.

I Really don´t want to Reinstall Windows but maybe that´s the problem that it is windows =)

Thanks again for a great program

Best Regards Sibbe

Hello Sibbeh!
Thank you for your question.
:?:
1. Clean your system from viruses. You can use this tool: http://www.freedrweb.com/cureit/?lng=en
2. Uninstall LightConverse.
3. Install a good antivirus software in your system.
I'd recommend you this one: http://www.eset.com/smartsecurity
This works perfectly on Vista, very powerful, fast and not so expensive.
4. Download LightConverse again and install it to another location.

I made a test of LightConverse with some well known antivirus software, you can find report here:
http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/f4b4 ... 34c224bd97

As you can see, AVG is working, so it's probably a Vista problem. May be you damage it with your trojan.
There is lot of tips and tricks in inet about Vista. Just Google them

About report that I shown you. Don't worry that some antivirus products reporting for "Suspicious File". Suspicious File is not a virus!
We are using some core protection methods to prevent hacking. That's why some test has Mal/HckPk-D and Cryp_Xed-3 result. They can't open our core for analysis and reporting about the problem.

We have test LightConverse for viruses very carefully before release. You have to truss this.

Thank you for purchasing.

for people in bigger companys without admin rights this might become a problem.

Hi Megan
it's not our problem - you are infected :!: :!: :!:

The same file (41.1) from my pc:
http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/83a5 ... 1264590518

ADD:
just tested 41.2 and it seems to have the same result as yours. So, I think, you can not to worry about infection, sorry for a fail alert A-NETU

They simply test the file for a short part of a virus code (or checksum) and this may doing some strange results sometimes.

Will check tomorrow what does makes them crazy, because all our anti-viruses are keeps silence.

Can't find any viruses here that was listed in your alert.
I think it's simple unlucky combination of data in our packed core.
Anyway, I rebuild it and upload again. You can test (41.2)...

Have a good luck in virus finding! :P

there where no real viruses listed in my alert afaik.
it's only the porblem that the heuristic search of the virusscanners do an alert. imho because of the used packer.
its better now. my scan result now only lists 7 scanners which make an alert.
