It's not a problem. It's like DMX. If Laser has in-channel assigned in LC than it must be controlled through that channel from some control-software outside LC, what do you think?

You can see LCPlay.exe file in LightConverse folder. This is a laser player software. One laser show you can find also.
We will add in short future a simpe laser controller to our software also, but currently you can control lasers from Pangolin only.

That player will output laser stream data to the Ethernet. LC will receive data from Ethernet and visualize. No data - no beam

You can run both software in one PC, in this case active Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection should be. Otherwise install Microsoft Loop-back adapter and virtual Ethernet will be always with you...

Hi there.
as i own now an unlimited dongle i'm trying the laser function.
but i 'm unable to get it running.
please see below how i tried it.

before i start lc i start the lcplay open the eternity file, play , settings: laser 1
in the lcplayer the laser show is running
I create a brand new projekt.
i go to dmx
i add a generic laser from the fixed group.
i select that fixture and say in the down right corner : laser -> LD -> adress 1 -> apply
the beam changes (but no animation)
outside the dmx room i have no light output

I'm running xp pro with a networkcard.
also i tried if the loopback adapter could help me.
i gave the loopback adapter a normal ip ~192.168...
still same problem.
i know that my host file was changed by spybot search & destroy
but there are only bad dns names redirected to localhost ( 127.0.0.1)

windows firewall is disabled
in my softwarefirewall lc + lcplay are allowed

the laser fixture doesn't seem to get any input from the lcplay.

did i oversee something?

it's very possible that my problem is the software firewall but maybe i'm making s.th else wrong

any tips for me?

1. In your beta lasers was down. Re-download it and they should be up.
2. Laser channel 1 in LCplay = Laser channel 2 in LightConverse.
Hope this helps.
